Well Hello : ) My name is Krystin, obviously! I am 22 years old and a 5th year senior at The University of Southern Mississippi. I will graduate in December with a degree in Child and family Studies with an emphasis in Family Relations and a minor in Psychology! After four and a half years of college I am beyond excited to be finishing up. I always thought your last semester of college would be the easiest, but this is by far the most stressful semester of my college career. I am currently working as a Resident Assistant in the dorms on campus, which does not make nearly enough money to pay for this trip, unfortunately. After Kenya, I plan to go to graduate school in the Marriage and Family Therapy program here in Mississippi.
Answering the question: Where are you from? has always been a little difficult for me. I'm kind of from all over the place. I was born in Jackson, Mississippi and lived there until I was ten years old. My family then moved to Nebraska, then Iowa, where I graduated high school and attended community college for a year. I then went to Chicago for a semester of school. Over christmas break I went on a missions trip to Peru, where I felt God calling me to move home from college. So, I moved to Maryland, where my family had moved to. I stayed there for a semester then came to school in Mississippi. So, finally on my fourth major and my fourth college I have found a way to graduate!
My entire life I have wanted to do missions. I went with my parents to Romania to adopt my sister when I was nine, and ever since then I have been passionate about orphan ministry! I have been to Peru twice to run a summer camp for local churches and an orphanage. I am so excited about possibly working with orphans. I'm basically just excited to finally have the opportunity to go on a missions trip longer than a week. The fact that it's Africa also excites me to death! I also cannot wait to meet all of you : )
