Hey everyone!  I’m finally posting my bio so the mystery can finally be over about your other leader!  If you haven’t figured it out by now, my name is Robby Smith.  And as Hailey said in her bio, we’re both super excited about walking through life with y’all on this trip.

So about myself.  There are of course so many things I could say but let’s be real.  This is probably the 16th bio you’ve read and all of the facts have probably jumbled together in your head, meaning by the time we all actually meet, you’re not gonna remember whether I’m the one who hates green beans or the one who loves monkeys.  So I’m gonna try to keep this short and simple.  Besides, we have 4 months to really learn about each other.

But to start, I’m 23 years old.  I’ll be 24 on January 2, which I’m actually pretty excited about because for the whole year, I’ll feel a little more connected to Jack Bauer.  But anyways, I’m from Georgia, graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2010 with a degree in Child and Family Development and then left for the World Race, which was a totally awesome experience.  I got back from that this past May and then three months later, left to lead a Real Life (now known as Passport) trip to Uganda.  I just got back from that trip about 2 days ago and now in a month will be leaving to spend another 4 months in Africa as I lead y’all in Kenya.  Whirlwind of a life, anyone?  Haha.  But I definitely love it.  Especially on this past trip, God has really been putting discipleship on my heart.  Pouring into others so that they can pour into others.  It’s what Jesus did, and God’s really been putting a passion for it in my heart.  And so I’m pumped to get to do it again on this trip to Kenya.

So random facts seems to be a fun thing to do.  So here we go.

  • I love playing games.  Board games.  Card games.  Taboo.  I rock at taboo.  Just sayin.
  • I love watching sports.  I’m a big fan of the Atlanta braves, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Georgia Bulldogs.
  • I love to laugh, and I love to make other people laugh.  For real.  I’m constantly joking around.  If you laugh at my jokes, you’re instantly one of my favorite people.
  • I love Mexican food and Italian food.  I’m still kinda tired of rice.  If you don’t understand, you probably will about halfway through October.
  • I’m not picky at all with music.  Except I don’t really listen to country.  I love Christian rap (Lecrae, Tedashii, Flame, etc.).  I also love David Crowder and stuff like that.
  • I like to pretend that I can dance.  I can’t.  But I like to pretend, and I’d appreciate it if you didn’t crush my dreams.
  • I like to have “filter-free” occasions.  Filter-free Wednesday.  Filter free Thursday.  Filter-free airport time.  Basically, just an occasion when you can say whatever you want without being penalized.

So yeah, that’s a little bit of me.  Feel free to check out my blog to learn more about me.  And of course, stalk me on Facebook.
