Well Hello there wonderful Kenya peeps. My name is Hailey. Obviously you should know that already since the link you clicked on said that, but in case you missed it, now you know.  : )

I'm so glad to be on here and see all of your bios (those of you who have posted them) and get to know you a little. In case I didn't mention it, and I know I didn't, I am one of your leaders for the passport trip.  YAY, now is the appropriate time to jump up and down with excitment. Robby Smith and I will be walking alongside you on this incredible journey that we get to experience together! 

So, let me tell you a little about my crazy life. 

I am 23, I know practically ancient, or shockingly young. You decide. 

I was a part of  V-Squad and launched on the world race in January 2011. Which does in fact mean that I have been home and off of the race for approximately...drum roll please.........two and a half weeks. Holla! Just two short weeks ago I was in Cambodia for my final month on the race. The race was an incredible journey for me and just learning so much about God and how I thrive in him and what he has called me to. He spoke so much to me about love, and how his love covers EVERYTHING. 

I am from Denver, Colorado. Where I currently live with my mom, sister and her two kids. Chaos. 

Random facts about me....

I am in love with antiques. My mom owns an antique shop and I will just go and sit and look at everything. I am working with her right now doing estate sales and it's like a treasure hunt. Love it.

I am a worshiper. That is absolutely 100% who the Lord has made me to be. I express my heart through singing and thats when I feel the most connected to God. So to all you singers out there, BRING IT. I am pumped.

Also I LOVE art. Being creative, allows me to just be connected to the creator. So I draw, sometimes paint, and will find random ways to be creative. Also it's at random times, rarely predictable with when I decide to do it. 

To all you runners on my team, bring it on. I want to run. I hate it, but I want to learn to not hate it. Couch to 5k Kenya style anyone? 

I adore photography and want to someday be able to try it out, when I'm able to get a good camera. Mine is no bueno. Also I was on a team with 4 photographers when I started the race, and they sparked my interest even more. 

The lord is such a vital part of my life and all I want to do is follow after him and what he has for my life, cause it is always 10 times better then anything I could ever even imagine. My passion lies in worship and working with college age youth < I say youth as in people that are a mere 1-3 years younger then me. LIKE YOU!  I'm just like all of you going on the trip, in that we want the Lord and are seeking after him. 

I was in Kenya last July while on my race, and I fell in love with it there. It is by far one of my favorite places I have been to. My heart has always been in Africa, and Kenya encompassed everything I loved. I love the people, the place and their incredible intensity and passion for the lord. One of my favorite things while I was there was working with the kids ministry. We had over 150 and they were so hungry for more of the lord. It was incredible to see! When I found out I was going to be leading a trip to Kenya, I knew the Lord was in it. He spoke clearly while I was there that I was going to be back, and I couldnt be more excited for this opportunity. 

I am so excited to meet every single one of you, and know that I am praying for all of you and laying the foundation for this year through prayer. The Lord is going to show up in such an incredible way!!
