Aye! My name is Grayson Hary. My home has been in central Minnesota for the last 22 years, for the first few, Minneapolis, but for the last 18, in a small town called Big Lake.

I graduated from Big Lake High School in 2008, took off two years from any schooling, starting my first year of college in the fall of 2010 at Saint Cloud Technical and Community College. During this current semester I have been enrolled at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, where, as I was at Saint Cloud, completing general education requirements.

Over the last three years I have worked at Target as an electronics sales person, as well as filling in around the store when needed. It’s a job than can teeter between part-time and full-time, so nothing too crazy that is filling my bank account with tons of cash, but it’s allowed me to make ends meet and allowed me to go to school and find time to pursue other interests of mine.

I enjoy, for the most part, photography, music, and hanging out and eating good food. I’ve been pursuing photography as a means of income, as a freelance photographer, if you will, and it’s something I am slowly growing into and beginning to take more seriously (You can see some here!). I’ve primarily photographed live music events, from artists like Jimmy Eat World, Minus The Bear, to smaller lesser known artists like Koji and Gideon. When I hang out with my friends, we usually eat something delicious, like burritos or pizza, and listen to heavy metal or something sing-along-able.

In my teens I was involved in two trips to the city of Reynosa, Mexico. Those trips occurred when I was 15 and 16, and both were through my church and a local organization called Harvest Ministries. Both trips were pretty pivotal and important experiences for me, and definitely part of what compelled me to consider another trip.

For this trip, I am totally excited about having to completely rely on God in a way I don’t think I have in the States. It is, in part, one of the reasons I have been led to consider this trip, in addition to simply being able to go to a new place and be the hands and feet of Christ. God is telling me that this is going to be an experience that is going to mold and shape me in ways that I otherwise couldn’t be. I have not been more stoked for anything in my whole life!

That is all! Here is a weird self-portrait I took a few months ago.
